Walgreen's Store Guide

First things first....Go here to print off Walgreen's Corporate Coupon Policy(always take it with you just in case you have a hard time with a cashier :) )

Register Rewards
When you shop at Walgreen's you will notice that some items show you can get a "Register Reward" when you purchase it.  What is a Register Reward? A Register Reward is a manufacturer coupon that prints out of the Catalina machine when you buy participating items.  Since these are considered manufacturer coupons and NOT store coupons, you can only use one Register Reward per item.  Also note that the number of coupons (Register Reward and manufacturer combined) can not exceed the amount of items you have purchased.   So for example...if you have purchased 4 items...your manufacturer/RR coupons combined can not exceed 4.  If you run into a situation where you have more man./RR coupons than items....grab a small, cheap filler item to add to your item count.

When purchasing RR items, only do ONE of the same product per transaction.  If you do more than one per transaction you will only get one RR.   You can combine DIFFERENT products that offer RR's in the same transaction....just not more than one of each product.

Example:
DO:

Trans 1
Bengay Massage $5.99 = $5.99 RR
Covergirl Makeup $$15=$5 RR
Blink Tears $7.99=$7.99 RR
You will get back all THREE RR...$5.99, $5, $7.99

DO NOT:

Trans 1
5 Bengay Massage $5.99/each ($29.95 total)
You will ONLY get back ONE $5.99 RR!

Another thing to note is that RR do not "roll."  What do I mean by that? Well let's say you purchase Gillette deodorant and get a $3 RR back.  You can not use this $3 RR to pay for another Gillette deodorant.....you will not get another $3 RR.  You CAN use a RR from other products to pay for RR items.  For example, you buy Pantene Shampoo and get a $2 RR back.  You can use that to  pay for the Gillette deodorant that has a $3 RR. The $3 RR will print with no problems!

Walgreens Store Coupons
Walgreens offers many ways you can get store coupons.  The great thing about the store coupons is that they DO NOT count towards your coupon count.  You can get these coupons from the weekly ads and also the coupon booklets the Walgreens puts out every month.  A lot of times these coupon booklets will have HUNDREDS of dollars worth of Walgreens coupons in them!  You can find these booklets in the store...usually at the front of the store.  If you can't find them, be sure to ask a cashier to get one for you.

When you are using coupons at Walgreens use the man. coupons BEFORE using any store coupons.  Why? Well, if you use the store coupon first and then the man. coupon the cashier will be prompted to adjust the coupon down because the machine recognizes that the coupon exceeds the purchase amount.  BUT if you use the man. coupons first and then the store coupons you will get OVERAGE!

For example, let's say that you purchase Crest toothpaste and it's $3 regular price.  You have a store coupon for Crest that makes it $2 and you have a man. coupon for $2.50/1 Crest toothpaste.  If you hand the cashier the store coupon first it will make it $2 and when you give them the man. coupon it will beep because of the $.50 overage and your coupon will be adjusted down.  BUT if you hand the cashier the $2.50/1 coupon first...it will go through because the machine will recognize the price as $3 and then when you use the store coupon it  will take another $1 off your purchase.  So you would get the toothpaste FREE with $.50 overage.
