Today I ventured over to Rite Aid to take advantage of their GREAT Huggies deal this week. After my first transaction I was oh so excited to see TWO 10% savings passes!(I had accumulated enough wellness+ points!). Well, I tried to use one on my next transaction. Beep....didn't work. The cashier(she was super nice) tried several times to get it to work.
She finally told me after reading over it a million times that she thought I could not use the savings pass and my wellness+ card together. I was like "huh?". I KNEW that was not right. I asked to speak to a manager. After both of them trying several times my savings passes did not work(FRUSTRATING!). But what really got me was the AMAZING reasoning behind why they didn't work.
Bless their hearts...they just didn't know what the issue was. Sometimes I wish cashiers and managers would just say "I don't know" instead of making up a reason. The associate explained to me that it must be like a bonus card like she had on Carnival. You couldn't use your bonus card AND get Carnival discounts....HUH? I didn't argue and I thanked her and left.
I immediately called CS and spoke with a GREAT CS associate....his name is Kendall. He explained to me that you HAVE to use your wellness card in order for the savings pass to work in the first place. He said they've been having issues with the savings passes not working.
He says once they scan(even if they don't work) they are voided. He sent me two new savings pass. I thanked him and asked him if there was a way to get this info to Rite Aid store employees. Nothing is more frustrating when you go into a store and you know you are doing the right thing and it not work and have associates that don't know what is going on. He said he would pass the info along and got my store info.
Why am I sharing this with you? Well, I like to keep you informed! If you have issues with your savings pass immediately called 1-800-RiteAid and speak to their GREAT customer service! They should send you a new savings pass!
Secondly, I want you to know that I have issues shopping too! Sometimes you run into a cashier that isn't up on all the policies and tells you no, even when you know you can. It happens! But it is totally okay! We are all human and make mistakes! :)
