Homemade Laundry Detergent, Fabric Softener, and Foaming Handwash

Supersaver, Ashley, submitted these AWESOME recipes for laundry detergent, fabric softener, and foaming handwash.  These are a GREAT way to be Just a Clip Away!  Thanks Ashley!

Laundry Soap

• 1 finely grated bar of  fels naptha
•  1 cup Borax
•  1 cup arm and hammer washing soda (don't use baking soda)

 Mix really, really well, or throw it in your food processor. 1 tbsp for HE washers, 2 tbsp for regular. I’ve used 3 tbsp in really dirty loads. I usually keep it in a Rubbermaid container with a lid.

Fabric Softener

• 6 cups hot water
•  
• 2 cups white vinegar
•  
• 2 cups Suave Conditioner (pick your favorite scent)

1. Mix conditioner & hot water well, until conditioner is dissolved completely.

2. Add the vinegar, and mix well.

3. Store in a large container (empty fabric softener container)

4. Pour into a downy ball, or the fabric softener spot in your laundry machine, then wash!

5. You can smell the vinegar when you use it but it goes away in the wash!

Foaming Hand Soap

What You Need:

Liquid Hand Soap {Soft soap, Dial, antibacterial or other}  *Don’t use the thick & creamy soaps.  The clear-based soaps foam best!*

1 Empty Foaming Hand Soap Bottle {Bath & Body Works, Dial, etc.}

What To Do:

1. Fill the Empty Foaming Soap Bottle with approx. 1 inch of your liquid hand soap

2. Slowly fill the rest of the bottle with tap water.

3. Put lid back on, and gently tip upside down & side to side to mix.Don’t shake {it will get too sudsy just trust me}

Works just as well has the refills just alot cheaper! I have been using one of the large soft soap containers for well over a year now and still have some left! compared to buying a foaming refill every other month!
